Every day I go to my job and then I
I say hi to my boss and I fall asleep on the clock
Every day I go to my job and then I
daydream about death and the life I could be living
and I daydream about you, and I daydream about me,
and I think about all kinds of wack bullshit, but, god damn
stop feeling like that, stop feeling like this
stop feeling like that, stop feeling like this
stop feeling like that, stop feeling like this
stop feeling like that, it's not productive
Every day I go to work and I clock in, and I mentally check out,
yeah it's a hassle, and I come to at about 5:57 AM
and I clock out, go home, pass out, dry out wish to die out in the open road
smelling concrete, eatin' leaves
stop feeling like that, stop feeling like this
stop feeling like that, stop feeling like this
stop feeling like that, stop feeling like this
stop feeling like that, it's not productive
And all my life I've compared the journey of self-improvement to a caterpillar becoming a butterfly but maybe that's not entirely accurate because some days you flit between caterpillar and butterfly,
and some days you're stuck in that larval phase
and constantly I find myself diving into small flames like some kinda moth,
so am I even wholly human?
Well I don't know, and I don't give a damn
We're all half-moth, we're all half-human
and even when we die, we're still alive so
stop feeling like that, start feeling like this
stop feeling like that, start feeling like this
stop feeling like that, start feeling like this
stop feeling like that, start feeling like -
This Pittsburgh band's gloriously messy mash-up of post-punk, garage rock, and shoegaze is snotty enough to be considered plain old punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 2, 2022
